How does online therapy and testing work?
There is a growing body of research showing that, for many individuals, online (telehealth) services can be just as effective as in-person care. Studies also indicate that there is no clinically significant difference in the accuracy of properly administered online psychological and neuropsychological testing compared to in-person testing when standardized procedures are followed.
Online services offer added convenience and accessibility, making it easier to participate in therapy or complete evaluations from home while maintaining high clinical standards.
All online sessions are conducted through a HIPAA-compliant videoconferencing platform like Zoom. Clients also have access to a secure Client Portal where they can view upcoming appointments, upload documents, complete intake paperwork, download superbills, and communicate securely via messaging.

Whether therapy is short-term or long-term depends on how long you’ve had the problem, the nature of your problem and your progress. Individuals seeking brief and solution-focused therapy often reach their goals within 4-6 sessions, with the option to schedule additional follow-up visits as needed.
Dr. Anna and each client work together to regularly assess progress. Some clients continue therapy after initial goals are achieved because life presents new stressors or new goals emerge. Throughout the process, Dr. Anna prioritizes open communication and collaboration so you always feel informed about the plan and next steps.
-
Everything discussed during therapy sessions is confidential with the exception of the following: child abuse, dependent adult abuse, elderly abuse, intent to harm oneself, and intent to harm another.
Information can only be shared with third parties (e.g., teachers, outside providers) for care coordination if permission/signed authorization is obtained from an adult client or parent/guardian through a Release of Information (ROI) form.
-

Wildflower Psych is not paneled with insurance but accepts Lyra EAP (with limited spots). For all other clients, private pay is accepted and a superbill can be provided for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
If you have a PPO, Dr. Anna is considered an out-of-network provider. Some PPO insurance plans may reimburse you for a percentage of session fees. Please ask your insurance if they cover out-of-network (OON) mental health services. You’ll pay for services upfront and I’ll provide a summary of services (“superbill”) that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
Helpful questions to ask your insurance company about your OON benefits:
1) How much coverage is available for out-of-network providers? For instance, what percentage of the fee does the insurance company reimburse?
2) What is the deductible (i.e., the amount you’re required to pay before you’re eligible for reimbursement)?
3) Does the insurance company set a limit on the number of sessions per year? If yes, what is the total number of sessions per year?
4) Does the insurance company limit the total amount reimbursed per session? If so, ask how much they reimburse for the following CPT Psychotherapy Codes (also known as “procedure codes”):
90791 (Psychiatric diagnostic evaluation or initial evaluation)
90834 (standard 45- to 50-minute session)
90837 (an extended 60-minute session; some companies don’t reimburse this code)
CPT codes used in the neuropsychological and psychological testing process:
90791 - Clinical Interview
96130/96131 - Psychological testing
96132/96133 - Neuropsychological testing
96136/96137 - Test administration and scoring
