Understanding Your Investment
At Wildflower Psych, every evaluation is conducted personally by Dr. Anna Hung, PhD — a licensed psychologist with over a decade of specialized experience in ADHD and Autism testing for children, teens, and adults. All evaluations include a clinical interview, standardized testing, and a formal diagnostic letter confirming diagnosis if applicable. An optional written report is available for those who need more comprehensive documentation.

Insurance & Payment Information
Out-Of-Network Provider
Wildflower Psych is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance directly. If you have a PPO insurance plan, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement through your out-of-network benefits. Dr. Anna provides a superbill — a detailed invoice with diagnostic and procedure codes — that you can submit directly to your insurance company for reimbursement. Many PPO plans reimburse a meaningful portion of evaluation costs. We recommend calling the member services number on the back of your insurance card to ask about your out-of-network benefits before your evaluation.
How Do I Figure Out My Out-Of-Network Coverage For Testing?
My services may be eligible for full or partial reimbursement as part of your out-of-network benefits. To help facilitate out-of-network claims, I provide a monthly Superbill that includes the information necessary to submit for reimbursement to your insurance company.
I encourage you to contact your insurance company to ask the following questions in order to learn more about your out-of-network coverage:
How much coverage is available for out-of-network providers? For instance, what percentage of the fee does the insurance company reimburse?
What is the deductible (i.e., the amount you’re required to pay before you’re eligible for reimbursement)?
Does the insurance company set a limit on the number of sessions per year? If yes, what is the total number of sessions per year?
Does the insurance company limit the total amount reimbursed for testing services? If so, it can be helpful to ask how much they reimburse for the following CPT codes (also called “procedure codes”) used in the evaluation process. Insurance companies often classify ADHD and autism evaluations as neuropsychological testing, which is typically reimbursed at a higher rate than standard psychological testing, depending on the plan and medical necessity determination.
Please ask about reimbursement for:
90791 – Clinical Interview / Diagnostic Intake
96130 / 96131 – Psychological Testing Evaluation Services
96132 / 96133 – Neuropsychological Testing Evaluation Services
96136 / 96137 – Test Administration and Scoring
The Advantages of Self-Pay
Choosing to pay out of pocket for your evaluation comes with meaningful benefits that go beyond convenience:
Complete confidentiality — your evaluation results are never reported to any third party, including your insurance company, without your explicit permission
No diagnostic limitations — insurance companies sometimes restrict which diagnoses they will cover or require pre-authorization, which can influence the scope of an evaluation. Self-pay removes those barriers entirely
Your records stay yours — a diagnosis entered into an insurance claim becomes part of your permanent medical record accessible to insurers. Self-pay keeps your results private and in your control
No risk of claim denial — you won't receive a bill months later for services your insurance decided not to cover
